The much sought after Sanguinaria canadensis multiplex ‘ is a charming woodland plant from North America. As its name indicates it produces multi-petalled flowers, similar to Gardenia in appearance. During Spring, the buds burst open and the pure white pom-pom flowers appear. The leaves are distinctively scallop-shaped in bluish-green appearing as the flowers fade and continue to give interest in garden throughout the summer.
It is a hardy perennial, grown from a rhizome. It is a good clump former, which flowers in April.
