Verdant Sparks

VERDANT SPARKS, Autumn flowering (H. Koopowitz) N. jonquilla x N. viridiflorus.

A lovely, clumping miniature that looks just like its parents, opening a deep green, maturing to a green with a yellowish cast. There are up to four flowers to a stem, each floret being starry with a deeply lobed corona so that it could almost be classified as a Division 11a. Very free flowering from November through to Christmas. Strongly scented dominated by N. viridiflorous and multiplies readily. Requires conditions to be dry and hot during the dormant period.
